HYPERPIGMENTATION – PIGMENT LASER

The Q -switched laser, also called the pigment laser, helps to get rid of brown spots or other unsightly coloring of the skin.

For who?

For men and women wishing to get rid of brown spots due to sun exposure present on the face, neckline and back of the hands due to sun exposure but also for a mask of pregnancy or post-inflammatory pigmentations.

How does the pigment laser work?

The laser beam by selective action, produces a fragmentation of the pigment responsible for the coloring which allows their elimination while respecting the surrounding skin. This treatment usually requires 1 to 2 sessions.

What are the pre-laser instructions?

It is recommended to avoid sun exposure and self-tanning applications, taking photosensitizing drugs such as anti-inflammatories, antibiotics or plants such as St. John’s wort.

What happens during a session?

The laser is applied for a fraction of a second to each spot. The impacts of the laser are unpleasant and in the most sensitive subjects, the prior use of an anesthetic cream is possible.

What to do after the treatment?

The brown spot whitens immediately during the treatment then darkens and will form a fine crust which will disappear in about ten days. A healing cream will be recommended.

The treated skin then appears pink, it will have to be protected from the sun until the normal color of the skin reappears.

Does the laser leave scars?

There is a low risk of scarring, sometimes a change in the color of the skin of the treated area: sometimes whitening or pigmentation, especially in people with dark or tanned skin.

Despite a well-applied sun protection, the recurrence of pigmentation of certain lesions is possible.

What budget should you plan?

All our prices are on our website, under the prices tab.

How many sessions are needed?

1 to 2 sessions are necessary, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.
