Sweating is the body’s natural mechanism for regulating its temperature. But some people sweat more than average, which can be a real handicap on a daily basis.

Fortunately, treatments exist.

When do we talk about hyperhidrosis?

There is no defined amount of sweat from which we can speak of hyperhidrosis. We simply speak of excessive sweating when it becomes a hindrance in everyday life: when the person no longer dares reach out, dress as they wish, no longer practice sports for fear of sweating, no longer dares to leave her house when it is a bit hot. In short, anything that can have an impact on a normal life…

The unpleasant odors of perspiration can also be a handicap for the person suffering from hyperhidrosis. In addition, the high humidity caused by excessive sweating can lead to other health problems such as fungal infections, warts, eczema…

Hyperhidrosis is often very disabling for the person who suffers from it and can lead to real social withdrawal. In addition, excessive sweating is often wrongly associated with a lack of hygiene and the gaze of others can therefore be difficult to bear. The discomfort felt often hinders people from talking about it to their doctor.

What is the cause of hyperhidrosis?

In 90% of cases, the exact cause of hyperhidrosis is unknown. This is called idiopathic hyperhidrosis.

However, certain factors play a role: genes, emotions, medications, diet, and certain conditions such as menopause, diabetes or obesity.

What solutions can we consider?

First of all, there are local treatments which are antiperspirants based on aluminum salts. Oral treatment can then be considered, especially in cases of generalized hyperhidrosis.

toxin injections, especially in case of excessive sweating in the armpits, provide a very effective and lasting solution.

A new laser treatment can also be of great help.

For who?

It is aimed at both women and men with the aim of reducing underarm perspiration.

What to do on the day of the treatment?

The course of the session is done without anesthesia.

What to do after the treatment?

Immediately after the session, the treated area may be marked by redness, as well as a feeling of warmth that will not persist. There is no special care to do after the treatment.

What budget should you plan?

All our prices are on our website, under the prices tab.

How many sessions are needed?

3 sessions are required, spaced 3 weeks apart.
