FUE is the latest technique and has many advantages.
The hair is shaved at the crown level over a large area which is then anesthetized.
The micro-grafts are then taken directly with a small motor that drills into the skin around each micro-graft. This hole has a diameter of 0.6 to 0.8 mm.
The UF are then extracted one by one and classified in UF to 1, 2 or 3 hair.
At the end of the extraction (when all the necessary follicular units have been extracted) the crown is dotted with small holes that heal spontaneously the next day without leaving any visible trace.
The follicular units are immediately ready to be transplanted.
The reimplantation technique is the same as with FUE: The area to be grafted is then anesthetized locally and prepared by performing many micro-incisions to precisely determine the location of transplant transplantation.
The grafts are then implanted one by one inside microincisions.
Benefits of the FUE technique :
No sutures or scar (as opposed to the FUT technique)
Less pain, less swelling
Reduced healing time
Shaving the donor area (at the back) essential, the grafting area does not need to be shaved
